A variety of funding sources are available to Junior and Senior studio art majors. Students interesting in the awards may apply to participate in an annual juried competition. Students' work is juried each December. Applications are available online and in the Department of Art office, 101 Hanes Art Center.
Work to be considered can be set up in two locations: Room 216 Hanes Art Center and the Clean Room at the Art Lab. All work must be clearly identified with the labels provided on the application form. Each student's work will be considered for all awards for which s/he is eligible. Winners of the awards will have an exhibition of their work in the John and June Allcott Undergraduate Gallery at the end of the spring semester.
The Department of Art reserves the right to award any or none of the available funds. The University Cashier's Office will be notified of winners and will disburse funds to students. Any scholarships will first credit outstanding debts on the student's accounts. Any funding in excess of the amount owed will be issued as a residual check and released to the student.
