Project: Human Resources Website
webslingerz worked with the UNC Human Resources department to completely overhaul their web assets. The new website and web-based applications offer a significant redesign of the policy and program information offered through the department. The website was developed with the assistance of a series of campus focus groups and refined through multiple usability testing sessions.
The entire site is managed using custom content management software developed by webslingerz, allowing developers to taylor the site to the department's needs. HR staff members can edit any page on the site and create new pages using a browser-based interface. The final publishing of content to the site is controlled by authorized staff members. Additional automated features include an alphabetic index of site content, related content links, site updates page, and policy indices. The site also features an e-mail archive, announcements, and a form handler which allows authorized staff members to easily create and publish web forms and collect data from site visitors.
